Carl Froch and George Groves ready to battle it out

International Boxing Federation or the IBF and the World Boxing Association or the WBA Super Middleweight Championship holder Carl Froch will be putting his titles on the line against fellow Englishman and up and coming talent George Groves in Manchester in November.

The fight between arguably one of the best English boxers of all time and one of the most prodigious English talents in recent years has been scheduled for the 23rd of November at the Manchester Arena.

And Eddie Hearn, the man who is promoting the match between two of the country’s biggest talents stated that the Battle of Britain pits one of the true legends of English boxing in Carl Froch with one of the best young English boxing talents in George Groves and the fight has the potential to be an explosive one.

Hearn mentioned that the fight is going to have some atmosphere and it will be a huge occasion for British boxing as a whole. Froch defeated Danish boxer Mikkel Kessler to add his WBA Middleweight Championship belt to his IBF crown and has won 31 of his 33 wins via knockout.
Groves, a 25 year old was on the undercard fight on the same night and he defeated Uruguayan Noe Gonzalez to become the mandatory challenger for the titles held by his compatriot.

Speaking earlier in the summer, the Nottingham based Froch stated that he is really excited that his first defense of his twin belts will be in a Battle of Britain in front of his own fans. He also stated that he is a proper fighter and a proper champion as well and mentioned that he would always face the mandatory challengers rather than vacating the titles.

Groves is unbeaten in 19 fights and he will be one of the biggest challenges for Carl Froch.
